A different look for me. But I definitely like the whole being able to read thing. I should do this more often.
And this sort of out-of-nowhere, but I’ve decided that I like my nose. (I always thought it was kind of button-y.) I have my Lola to thank for that. And no, I’m not talking about genetics. When I was really young, she always use to put my nose between the knuckles of her middle and index finger and repeatedly pull it outwards. This really confused me for most of my childhood. I eventually asked her why she did it one day and she replied “Because Anna! I don’t want you to have a Filipino nose.” Okay, I know doing that probably didn’t make my nose any more narrow than if it would have been if she didn’t constantly tug on it, but looking back at that memory always makes me smile. I miss her.
i’m not filipino, but i know about the “filipino nose”…ever since my friends mentioned it and pointed it out, that’s the first thing i look at when i see pinays. i feel kind of bad, but yeh. haha. nice little story.
